I don’t have anything like 'Fifty Shades of Grey' going on in my life right now, but I can still think of some fun ways to play with these handcuffs. Cuffing myself to my Hitachi (Magic Wand) for example (photo above), which you can do when you’re alone and you have a playful pair of cuffs with a quick release, as opposed to a true pair of handcuffs that need a key to set you free.

In some fantasyland I think I might prefer to have a more 'real' hardcore pair of handcuffs that only release with the key, without which you’re truly stuck. This pair of handcuffs from Lovehoney's Official Fifty Shades Of Grey Pleasure Collection are more like the cuffs kids play with for cops and robbers. They might also work for a lighthearted soft core role-play, or as the finishing touch to a good police officer (or Christian Grey?) halloween costume.

Don’t get me wrong, I personally appreciate the emergency/quick release feature on these shiny metal cuffs. I wouldn't have been able to effortlessly cuff myself to my vibrator with just one hand if I simultaneously had to keep track of the key! When I'm done playing around the sleek grey satin storage bag is perfect for tossing the restraints into my purse or away in a drawer.

If you've had the extreme displeasure of experiencing real handcuffs you know the weight of the cold steel that forces you to stay right where you are, and wait for the keeper of the key. I assure you the You. Are. Mine Handcuffs are much more playful, lighthearted and much less stress inducing than an official pair.

If you’re interested in the look and feel of handcuffs without the security concerns of the real deal, these might be just your speed. Also the You. Are. Mine. Handcuffs are not heavy and are less likely to pinch or leave marks, keeping your playtime from interfering with your daily life, no one enjoys answering questions about wrist bruises at the office or the grocery checkout.

What you get: These shiny restraints come with two keys, the actual cuffs which have the words “You. Are. Mine" pressed into the sides, as well as a lovely grey satin storage bag with "Fifty Shades of Grey" written on it — not super discreet, but great for compact storage.

You don’t need Houdini’s skills to escape these restraints, but you can definitely pretend. Ideal for self bondage and arresting role-plays, I give these handcuffs 4 of 5 stars for being fun and functional, and for the neat little toy bag that comes included. One point was subtracted for lacking the real gravity that comes with a true pair of handcuffs, this playful pair effortlessly restrains your willing victim or nervous sub (just demo the quick release feature to calm their nerves).

If you're interested in some Fifty Shades of Grey, the official collection is a great place to find all of the sex toys and gear mentioned in the trilogy. Check them out and you too can Play Like Grey, or get creative and use these for your quick bondage fantasy. Thanks to Lovehoney.com for providing me with these fun and playful cuffs to test out and in exchange for this product review.
